Recser Career Formula

The Recser Career Formula contained in the Career Choice Book provides three pillars for fulfilling and high-impact careers.

First, explore your passions and purpose to enable you to understand your career personality. Allow yourself to embrace the activities you enjoy and the issues you care about.

Secondly, understand the job market for your desired career. How easy is it to find a job or create a business – today and in the future – if you follow the career path you have in mind?

Thirdly, develop hard and soft skills that will empower you to excel in your preferred career path.
This pillar will also enable you to choose the right university or college.

Fulfilling and high-impact careers happen at the intersection of the three pillars.

Career clubs in secondary schools

Beginning 2023, Recser is sponsoring secondary schools to develop career clubs to enable students to build fulfilling, high impact careers.

We have developed a career club guideline for school principals and career guidance masters to refer to.

Through career clubs, students undertake activities that enable them to make in formed decisions about their future based on self-awareness

Sponsoring one school to develop and run a successful career club for one-year costs USD 2,000 and only USD 500 annually after that. One million dollars will sponsor between 500 and 700 schools to develop career clubs. The long-term impact that will accrue from such an investment is in the order of billions of dollars because people drive change, and Africa needs lots of transformational change.

Career coach training across Africa

Our sister platform, CoachLinks, (https://coachlinks.com/ ) has over 150 certified coaches based in Africa.

We are introducing the book to the coaches to use in their coaching work, increasing and deepening the impact.

In 2024 and beyond, we will invest in training career coaches and mentors to support schools and young people in finding fulfilling and high-impact career pathways

It costs USD 1,500 to train one career coach who is able to coach >2,000 young people each year through individual and group coaching

A donation of USD one million dollars will result in >600 career coaches trained and certified, with the potential for 1,200,000 students benefiting annually. Imagine the potential long-term impact.

Africa needs approximately 12,000 career coaches/mentors, many of whom would be career guidance masters in high schools

Book donations to school libraries

Recser has so far donated >200 books to schools in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania, and intends to donate 300 more in 2023.

Donating 5 books to a school will cost USD 100, inclusive of shipping expenses

The donation process includes the introduction of the school Principal and career guidance master to the idea of career clubs
